The BMW Paddle Shifter Retrofit Cable is a versatile solution designed for retrofitting paddle shifters in BMW models without factory prewiring. This handcrafted cable bridges the connection between the Steering Column Switch Cluster (SLZ) and the Body Domain Controller (BDC), enabling paddle shifter functionality.

While this cable has been extensively tested and proven to work flawlessly on BMW G20/G21 and F30/F31 models, it may also be compatible with other BMW generations and types. Compatibility with additional models has not yet been confirmed, but we are actively gathering feedback to expand the list of supported vehicles.

Installation Overview

1. Preparation:
   • Disconnect the vehicle’s battery.
   • Remove the steering wheel to access the SLZ.
2. Connecting the Cable:
   • Locate SLZ pin 3 and BDC pin 5, and connect them using the retrofit cable.
3. Reassembly and Coding:
   • Reinstall the steering wheel and reconnect the battery.
   • Perform coding to enable paddle shifter functionality using BMW’s E-Sys software (requires 2TB option added to the Vehicle Order).
